I’m going to have to admit something. I don’t know if Friday Confession is a thing but here it goes : I have trouble remembering names. Faces on the other hand; I have no problem with. I just wish I could put the two together.
This becomes a huge problem when reading. For the life of me, I can’t keep names straight in my head.
This realization slapped me in the face today as I was headed into part two of my current read. William Deverell’s Sing a Worried Song. There wasn’t even a ton of characters but I just couldn’t keep up with the who’s who.
Yes, I have a problem. I think the best thing for me to do is to write the names down on a Post-IT for handy reference. (This is sad.) I know many people have difficulty remembering names, but even when reading ? Perhaps some sleuthing is in order.
