For a few years now, I’ve been seeing the bout of books hashtag pop up, but always thought life was too busy for me to participate. Move over busy life, I’m participating this round!!
I’ve yet to narrow down my TBR list for the week. However, I’ve decided to go with an all Canadian reading list for #BoutofBooks, I may change things up, but stay within my Canadian theme.
First, finish Swimming Lessons then make a little dent in my “BoB” reading pile (ya, I just randomly acronym-ed Bout of Books) Ok, moving along….

BOUT OF BOOKS – DAY #1 :
Last night was my first twitter chat ever. If truth be told, I am terribly shy with these things and tend to ruminate over what I’ll write, editing myself senseless. However this time, I just jumped in, not stressing too much about it. I had fun, laughed and thoroughly enjoyed the hour spent with fellow book lovers. You guys are awesome!

Another great day of reading ! I finished Swimming Lessons by Claire Fuller and started reading Sputnik’s CHILDREN by Terri Favro. It is my kind of crazy !! Ok, so here are the stats for day two :

Day three was an off and on rainy day. Perfect for raining but also for naps, naps that I didn’t have. I continued reading Sputnik’s CHILDREN by Terri Favro. Loving it so far. It’s crazy – I love crazy. She followed me back on Twitter today and liked two of my tweets, that was definitely the highlight of my day !!

I took somewhat of a breather on day four. My page count shows it. Instead of reading, I blogged and got a few odds and ends done around the house that I have been neglecting. I didn’t do the “create a dating profile” challenge for a character, mostly because when I read a book, it’s rare that I let the characters come out and play. Is that odd? I also went to bed considerably earlier, that hindered my reading count. As much as I love books, I may love a good sleep better.

Friday was a meh day… lots to do in the real world and not much time for reading. But hey, I drank wine, maybe even a glass too much. When it boils down to it, I did read and that is what matters !

After a week of rain, the sun decided to come out and play. I had a day of reading planned but life decided otherwise for me. So, I gathered my work gloves and headed outside to tackle the woodpile. I did get a lot done, it was worth it actually and perhaps a much needed break from reading.
