In October of last year I took a weekend off from the kids, the housework, homework and headed to Tadoussac. It was a long overdue mini vacation just for me. I’m seriously tearing up just thinking about it. As a mom, I give my everything to those around me but for those 3 days it was all about me !! I could walk around without double checking if everyone was following, my purse didn’t need to contain a multitude of what if items, I didn’t have to plan around everyone’s schedule… Like I said, seriously long overdue !!
Hotel Tadoussac is where I wanted to stay. I could have chosen a nice B&B, but I wanted to be on the bay looking over the water. My room had a view of the Saint-Lawrence River and I’d wake up extra early to watch the sunrise. And I’m glad I chose a river view room because every morning I could see whales in the bay. On my last morning I decided to go out and get some close up shots from the shore…
I also did a little trail walking. I’ll avoid the term hiking because it was more of a leasurly walk in the woods. I noticed this lone shoe…
I think the owner of this shoe was eaten by the rarely photographed rock shark !!!

I’ll share with you some more memories from my trip to Tadoussac soon. I really love looking back on these photographs. They mean so much to me. Getting lost by yourself is one of the best places to get lost .. no matter where that is.
